information for participants

Participants will be staying in a restored 16th Century Medici bridge in the small village of Ponte a Cappiano, 3 kilometres from Fucecchio. There  are no single rooms but  the hostel-type accommodation  is clean, modern  and comfortable. You can also arrange to have visitors by booking a bed in the hostel itself. In Ponte a Cappiano, there is a bank with cash-dispenser, a tobacconist, a bar, a food store, a baker and a barber!

Breakfast and a cooked evening meal will be provided. We have a wonderful cook, Yvonne, who is a Yoga teacher and specializes in Mediterranean cuisine. She will be with us in both capacities. In the evening,  participants will return to a sit-down, candle-lit dinner, cooked by Yvonne. Lunch is not provided, so that people can buy what they wish from the nearby COOP supermarket. Please let us know if you have a special diet, if you are vegetarian, vegan, or if you are allergic to any foods.

In the morning, participants will travel (via organised lifts) to the rehearsal space in Fucecchio. Working days are very intensive (three sessions a day) with a great deal of physical work.

Fucecchio is a small town located between Florence and Pisa. The train station is called San Miniato/Fucecchio and connects us to Florence and Pisa. The nearest and most convenient airport is Pisa, served by lo-cost airlines such as Easyjet and Ryanair (if you're coming from Europe). There is a railway station at the airport itself where you can catch a train direct to San Miniato/Fucecchio (day-time). We can arrange to pick people up from here.
